What happens at a LiquoriFit consultation?

A LiquoriFit consultation is a free, no-pressure sit-down at the gym in Pittsford, NY. Matt asks where you are now, where you want to be, and what has gotten in the way before. You will see the space, meet your coach, and leave with a clear first step. It takes about 30 minutes.

Do I need to be in shape before I start personal training?

No. Most LiquoriFit clients start after a long break, an injury, a surgery, or a big life change. Every program is written for the person in front of us and adjusted in real time during each session, so the first workout meets you exactly where you are.

How much does private personal training cost at LiquoriFit?

Private one-on-one coaching with Matt is LiquoriFit's flagship service and is priced per session, with packages that lower the per-session rate. Semi-private sessions and partner trainer sessions cost less. Ask for current pricing at your free consultation; there are no contracts and no membership fees.

What is the difference between private coaching and semi-private training?

Private coaching at LiquoriFit is one coach and one client for the full session, with a program written only for you. Semi-private training is two to four people who share a coach and a time slot, each still following their own program. Couples and friends often choose semi-private.

How often should I train with a coach?

Most LiquoriFit private clients train two or three times per week with Matt and get a plan for the days in between. Once a week works for people who already train on their own and want programming, form coaching and accountability.

Do you help with nutrition?

Yes. Every LiquoriFit client talks nutrition as part of training, and nutrition coaching is available as a separate service for people who want a deeper plan, regular check-ins and habit changes that last.

Can you train me for a race, a competition or a big hike?

Yes. Matt has coached clients through 5Ks, marathons, bodybuilding shows, powerlifting meets, Adirondack High Peaks and a complete Appalachian Trail thru-hike. Event coaching includes a plan built backwards from your date, check-ins and race-week guidance.

What is the LiquoriFit Mountain Club?

The LiquoriFit Mountain Club is an annual guided group hike of an Adirondack High Peak led by Matt Liquori, a 46er who has summited all 46 High Peaks. The fee includes training leading up to the hike, help with lodging and packing, a Mountain Club shirt and the guided day itself.

Can a beginner join the Mountain Club hike?

Yes. Past groups have included first-time hikers, people in their sixties and a preschooler. The training before the hike is designed to get you ready, and the group stays together on the trail from the trailhead to the summit and back.

Where is LiquoriFit and where do I park?

LiquoriFit is a private personal training gym in Pittsford, NY, just outside Rochester. Parking is free on site. Directions to the entrance are on the contact page and in your confirmation email.

Is LiquoriFit a gym I can join for open workouts?

No. LiquoriFit is a private coaching gym, not a membership gym. Every person in the building is training with a coach, so it is never crowded and you never wait for equipment.

Who are the LiquoriFit partner trainers?

Partner trainers are independent coaches who train their own clients inside the LiquoriFit gym and commit to the LiquoriFit Standard of preparation and care. They offer a lower price point than private coaching with Matt. Each partner trainer has a profile page with their specialties, credentials and rates.

What should I bring to my first session?

Bring comfortable training clothes, athletic shoes and water. LiquoriFit provides everything else. If you have a recent injury or a note from a doctor or physical therapist, bring that too so the program can account for it.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancelling within 24 hours of a session results in a full charge for that session. Sessions are 60 minutes and are sold in 5 and 10 packs; 10-packs expire six months after purchase.
